Auckland Pride Festival Is Underway!

We are already a few days into this year's Auckland Pride Festival Celebrations and K' Road has played host to a number of incredible events – with more to come.

Our friends at Cross Street Market kicked off K' Road celebrations with a Pride theme, including drag queen performances, queer DJs and artists, as well as a pop up hair salon, Queer Cuts, supported by Coleen and Vada Hair.

The Family Bar Miss Drag Supreme & Mr Family Pageant ran on Saturday night with Auckland's best drag queens and kings battling it out. The night was outrageous fun with Lola Blades and Alexy Surikov winning out. Special mention to runners up Dakota Hemmingson and Aaron Von Phillipe, and Miss Congeniality Yuri Guaii!

Wednesday evening was also all go on K' Road, with a Bear Drag Race at Coco's Cantina, followed by Urge Bear Divas Show at Caluzzi – a sold out event.

And there's more to come!

This Tuesday we have Caluzzi Drag Queen Bingo with plenty of cash prizes and vouchers up for grabs for our lucky winners. This is proudly sponsored by Peaches and Cream and the Karangahape Road Business Association. Floor space is limited, so register your interest early with

The grand finale for K' Road will be on 15-18th February at St Kevins Arcade with Disco Art House, an exhibition of the works of local queer artists through the LGBTQI+ arts and performance collective, Disco Bloodbath. The opening night will feature live performance art at Whammy Bar and Queer DJ's.

The rest of the exhibition will be open from 10am - 6pm each day. Art, prints, and photography available for purchase!

A great end to a great festival that K' Road supports unreservedly.
