The Greatest Bridge in the World – Heritage Walk

When Grafton Bridge was completed in 1910 it was the largest single span bridge in the world. Built when Auckland had a population of only 60,000 this reinforced concrete structure was the largest piece of engineering undertaken in this country and still rates as the third most important even today. This free two hour guide walk takes participants under around and over this engineering marvel.
Bookings are required. This walk is weather dependent. The route includes stairs and unpathed area – sensible shoes are essential.
