Having taken out 1st place at the 2023 Smokefree Rockquest National Final along with two ZM best song awards, as well as having accumulated over 60,000 streams across streaming platforms. Comprised of Solomon Woods on lead vocals and rhythm guitar, Will Tinnock-Jones on drums, Emma Wagner on bass and Liam Beasley on lead guitar. They have an intentional and well-crafted sound, drawing from various indie and alternative rock influences, as well as lyrical elements reminiscent of many midwest emo bands. ⚡️THE IDEAS are a two-piece noise blues band from Auckland with Max Leask on guitar and vocals and Josiah Weston on drums.
